Mommy's Too Busy to Post....Again

Hi Everyone,

Mommy has been really busy lately because of her new work schedule so she hasn't had much time to do much of anything. No needlework. No blogging. So, you're stuck with me again.

Mommy just had her computer fixed. I needed a new motherboard. I didn't know that Mommies needed boards.


Anyway, Mommy and Daddy just had their first anniversary. It was a paper anniversary so they went book shopping and took me along. Then they got a really spiffy hotel room for the night. I slept in my pack n'play. Note the cute little feet..




We went to all sorts of restaurants too. This is me and Daddy at The Cheesecake Factory. But...they wouldn't let me have any cheesecake. I don't think that's fair!






When we got home, my new snuggly bed was waiting for me. Well, it wasn't very snuggly. It was in pieces in a big box. Mommy put it together all by herself (well, I supervised the project). It only took her 2 hours.









Here is a better view. It has pink Pooh stuff and this thing that Pooh and all his friends hang off of and they move around! I like it when Mommy makes it move. I also got a new friend. His name is Tigger. He is very fun to snuggle with.


I am getting better at standing. My big brother is only helping me a little. See?

I have also discovered this show called Red Green. They use a lot of duct tape, whatever that is. And they are very silly. They need a cute girl like me to help them.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This holiday has become somewhat more special to me these past years. It was my father's holiday because he collected hearts. He was born with a hole his his heart which was fixed in the early 60s, before they had perfected the procedure. In later years, he had to have a pacemaker and he eventually died of a heart attack.

Last year it became special because Kenny sent me a bouquet of roses at work.

Hi everyone, it's Zoé. I'm posting this morning so Mommy can get some more sleep. I think she should be playing with me, but that's just my opinion. I was a good girl and I slept all night long in my new room. Mommy says that she will decorate it more when she gets me a crib. I wonder what that is? Will it be snuggly? I like to snuggle.




I hope everyone will join me in taking a stand against footed sleepers. They are extremely stupid....oops Mommy says I'm not supposed to say that word. Why do my feet have to be separated anyway. They are much warmer if they are together. And the feet things just cover up my cute little feet. What a travesty!



I have also recently discovered that hands are very tasty. I know that Mommy prefers chocolate but I think she will find she would be much happier if she just sucked on her hands. Besides, milk is much better for you anyway.




Mommy is spending a lot of time at the computer lately. She says that she is taking classes on line to get her teaching license. I thought she already had a license. Isn't that how she drives me around in her cute yellow Beetle? (Personally, I think it should be a PINK Beetle) If she teaches, does that mean she spends less time with me? She isn't home a lot anymore but sometimes I hear her voice coming out of a little box. Isn't that silly? Daddy seems to think that this is okay. Frankly, it makes me worry. How does Mommy fit into such a little box?


That reminds me. Daddy keeps saying that he's going to give me a pink pony but he never does. WHERE'S MY PINK PONY, DADA!





Here's that silly bellpull thingy that Mommy is stitching. She got one teacup done...see! What is a bellpull anyway? I thought you were supposed to ring them.

Anyway, it looks like Mommy is waking up. I had better hit the publish post button now! Love, Zoé

Doctor's Visit

So, the little one is now two months old and it was time for her checkup. She HATES the doctor (mostly because she gets stripped and then they stick pointy things in her ears). It was worse because it was time for the 2 month shots. There were 3 shots and 1 oral immunization. She was almost inconsolable (Daddy fled the room).

After that torture, we went to pick up Mommy's comic book that just came in.



I was a big Farscape fan and they are officially continuing it in comic books. This is the third book so far.

Also got the taxes done. Can't wait for the refund. Turbo Tax rocks! We should have enough for my teacher training!

A Trip to the Store

This week was my return to work so I haven't been blogging as much as usual. Had a great weekend so far--spending Friday with my husband and going out with the whole family today. Hit the comic book stores and picked up the new Muppet Robin Hood and the second Muppet Show Comic Book (they are continuing the show in comics and it's quite good.



I've made some progress on my winter teacup. Stitching over two threads and using three strands of floss. It's all DMC and I thought I had most of it but there were a couple colors that I didn't have so we had to make a trip to Aidaworks...

Also got two books. The first one came out in October and I have been looking for it recently but went through 4 Barnes and Nobles to find it. It's the conclusion to The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer (awesome author) called The Islands of the Blessed.



The other I started on Audiobook but had to take it back to the library but it was really intruiging but not my normal. I picked it out because of the title which is The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It's a mystery written by a deceased Swedish author.



I also joined Dragon my Needle and her Totally Useless Stitch Along. Not much in the jar yet but there will be more with the DMC I have to wind onto bobbins today.

Have not heard from the winner of the giveaway yet. If I do not hear by the end of the week, I will draw a new winner.
